Once upon a time there lived a verb Be. He lived in a town called Tensangeles and went to school with many other verbs. Be was rather talented and skillful and he attended school drama classes. And one day the stage director decided to perform a play on the day of Tensangeles. The actors were to represent the children of the town, grow up right on the stage and then turn into old people. In other words, the idea was to show Tensangeles and its dwellers in the past, the present and the future.
It was rather obvious that one verb couldn't play all the three roles (just because they were children). So the solution was to find other actors who resembled the main ones. Most of them agreed and the "substitutes" were found. Have and Had were very much alike, Gave looked almost like Give and Took was recognizable with Take. A vacancy for Bring's substitute was open for a long time, but in the end Brought was taken in.
Be suggested taking his younger brother Was and his younger sister Were (who were twins actually). Well, they were not very similar with Be, but still real relatives.
Bur some actors-verbs, among which Put, Let and Cut said they wouldn't share their fame with anybody and claimed they would be able to play all the three roles themselves. The stage director couldn't but put up with it.
However, the next step was to add some special make-up and proper clothes to the actors in order they look older. This special make-up was produced under the name "WILL", which stood for "Will I Look Like...?" So after putting it on the actors represented themselves in the future.
So the Day of Tensangeles came and the play was performed. It was done well and even Put, Let and Cut played their roles perfectly. And the town dwellers revised the old times of the town and then saw the future their children imagined.
Be invited all his family to watch the play. So his farther, Mr.To Be, came and his uncle, Mr.Not To Be, came, too. Be's Mum was busy at the back of the stage looking after little Was and Were after they had played their roles. But she saw the play from there and all Be's family enjoyed it.
After the play the town dwellers went to celebrate the Day of Tensangeles without even realizing what a significant day it was.
